Entering the world of work is a special experience. That’s why we take plenty of time for your training and make sure you feel comfortable in your team right from the start. Your vocational trainer will be there to support you throughout your entire apprenticeship. You’ll receive coaching for your development as well as support with academic topics, making the transition from school to an apprenticeship that much easier.

  • A three-year laboratory technician apprenticeship EFZ (Swiss Certificate of Competence), specializing in chemistry
  • A three-year ICT specialist apprenticeship EFZ (Swiss Certificate of Competence) (free apprenticeship place from August 2024)
  • A three-year logistician apprenticeship EFZ (Swiss Certificate of Competence) (free apprenticeship place from August 2025)

Laboratory technician EFZ (Swiss Certificate of Competence), specializing in chemistry

What we offer:
A working day as a laboratory technician is extremely varied: On some days, you’ll be using electronic equipment to conduct analyses. On others, you’ll be dedicating yourself to synthesis, helping to develop new substances or checking the purity of samples and the concentration of specific ingredients. You’ll calculate, weigh, separate, mix, and distil, and mix again. You’ll spend most of your time in our modern laboratory. And the coolest part of all? You’ll be in your own laboratory that’s just for apprentices.

What you should bring with you

✓ Secondary education diploma

Structure of the apprenticeship

The apprenticeship lasts three years. For the entire duration of the apprenticeship, you’ll spend one and a half days a week at the vocational school in Bern. The apprenticeship will begin with an introductory course over several weeks, where you’ll be able to acquire the initial fundamental knowledge you need to work in the laboratory.

Commercial employee EFZ (Swiss Certificate of Competence)

What we offer:
In our commercial apprenticeship, you’ll get to know all aspects of the career. You’ll advise customers, handle inquiries, write up offers, organize events, and carry out many other exciting tasks. During your three-year apprenticeship, you can get a taste of things in no fewer than nine different departments. You’ll gain an insight into exports and learn how collaboration takes place with suppliers across the world. In the Finance department, you’ll get one-on-one training in accounting. And in the disposition and transport team, we’ll show you how our products are delivered in a timely manner.

What you should bring with you

✓ Elementary school diploma, highest level with good grades or intermediate level and additional school year with very good grades
✓ Good spoken and written knowledge of German as well as basic skills in French and English
✓ A flair for communication and a love of dealing with people
✓ A talent for organization and the ability to work in a team

Structure of the apprenticeship

The apprenticeship lasts three years. The teaching at the vocational school in Burgdorf or Langnau takes place over two days a week for the first two years of the apprenticeship, and one day a week in the third year of the apprenticeship. For an apprenticeship with BM1 (vocational baccalaureate), you’ll spend two days a week at the vocational school in Langenthal for all three years of the apprenticeship.

ICT specialist EFZ (Swiss Certificate of Competence)

What we offer:
After your three-year ICT apprenticeship with us, you’ll be all set for the world of work: You’ll get to know our IT in all its different aspects and will acquire all the know-how you need. Together as part of a team, you’ll take care of our customers. You’ll install hardware and software, expand equipment configurations, and act as our users’ initial point of contact for any IT questions they might have. You’ll get to know the hardware and business applications used in detail, so that you’ll be optimally prepared whenever you’re needed to provide support.

Structure of the apprenticeship

The apprenticeship lasts three years. For the entire duration of the apprenticeship, you’ll attend the vocational school in Bern, on two days a week for the first year of the apprenticeship, and one day a week in the second and third years of the apprenticeship.
For the first year of the apprenticeship, you’ll spend seven months learning the basics in Bern. You’ll then be trained and deployed in our IT department as per the training plan.

Logistician EFZ (Swiss Certificate of Competence)

What we offer:
As an apprentice logistician, you’ll gain the knowledge and skills from us that you need to be successful in the logistics industry. You’ll gain an insight into the fascinating process chain of an international company. You’ll be able to take on responsibility at an early stage and will be jointly responsible for managing our goods. We’ll show you how to accept, check and store goods, prepare and deliver orders, check stocks and carry out inventories. Preparing and packaging postal items will also fall within the scope of your duties.

✓ Manual dexterity and fine motor skills
✓ Affinity for IT

Structure of the apprenticeship

The apprenticeship lasts three years. For the entire duration of the apprenticeship, you’ll spend one day a week at the vocational school in Lyss or Thun. The apprenticeship will begin with an introductory course over several weeks, where you’ll become familiar with the fundamental knowledge you need to work in logistics. You’ll also acquire a forklift truck license recognized by SUVA, which will allow you to skilfully transport goods using the various transport vehicles.
