Laboratory assistant EFZ specializing in chemistry

Laboratory assistants work with chemicals, computer-aided measuring devices and sensitive equipment. They know analytical methods such as titration and spectroscopy and apply them practically. They carry out syntheses and develop new substances. They calculate, weigh, separate, mix, purify and distill. Using suitable methods such as various chromatographies or the melting point, they assess the purity of the samples or the content of ingredients.

Precise, systematic and hygienically perfect work is essential to achieve meaningful results. They assess the test procedure and comply with the regulations on occupational safety, environmental protection and quality assurance. All laboratory tests are correctly recorded.
